PJ Rasmussen

Founder and President PJ Rasmussen is driven by a simple belief jazz is music anybody can love. AXS magazine called him "the right artist for the job of connecting what’s been long considered an impassable, highbrow art form with the masses. Yes, even the pop crowd." His 21 piece Boardwalk Jazz band has headlined two national television specials, "An American Christmas" and "Sounds of Summer," and he has landed two albums on the Jazz Week charts. The late Mulgrew Miller said simply, "Superb...tremendous playing," and Scott Albin of Jazz Times picked his debut, Adventures in Flight, as one of the best new releases of 2013. Rasmussen's 2014 follow up, Another Adventure, landed him on the cover of Hot House Magazine, and was also selected by AXS as one of the top five releases to introduce non jazz fans to the genre.

Before studying jazz, Rasmussen was enthralled with classic rock, blues and folk music, playing everything from Clapton, Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan to The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Bob Dylan.
